Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting operations, fund administration, or professional practice.
• Significant Private Equity Fund Accounting experience, ideally at a senior management or leadership level.
• Strong understanding of Private Equity fund structures and accounting processes.
• Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a Private Equity Fund Accounting team, including Managers, Supervisors and Fund Accounting professionals.
• Take ownership of key client relationships across a portfolio of Private Equity funds.
• Coordinate, manage and monitor client deliverables, ensuring service levels and deadlines are consistently met.
• Monitor key performance and risk indicators and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Private Equity fund structures and accounting processes.
• Mentor, support and develop team members through regular engagement and leadership.
• Review periodic accounting and reporting packs prepared by the team.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with established processes, procedures and controls.
• Drive operational efficiencies and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Act as a key liaison with internal teams, clients and other external stakeholders.
• Support business development activities, including client presentations and sales pitches where required.
• Assist with the development and implementation of operational procedures and documentation.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Private Equity Fund Accounting professional to lead a team of Managers, Supervisors and Fund Accounting specialists, while overseeing a portfolio of Private Equity clients and ensuring the successful delivery of fund accounting services.

About You

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience within accounting operations, fund administration or professional practice.
• Significant experience within Private Equity Fund Accounting, ideally at a senior management or leadership level.
• Strong understanding of Private Equity fund structures, accounting processes and client servicing.
• Previous experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliverables and stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and alternative investment products.
