Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a hands-on Financial Reporting Accountant in Dublin on a daily-rate contract (6 months, with potential extension). The role focuses on ownership of day-to-day accounting and timely financial reporting across month-, quarter-, and year-end processes.

Hybrid work around Dublin centre with 2 days in-office and 3 days from home. The ideal candidate has insurance/reinsurance experience, strong month-end/quarter-end close knowledge, and a proactive, detail-oriented

Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Experience in financial accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Hands-on experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder liaison.
• Proactive, practical and hands-on approach.
