Job summary

Recruiters in Dublin is seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join a leading global biotech/insurance organization on a 12-month contract. You will work with local and global finance teams on financial reporting, analysis and accounting controls, ensuring timely reports across entities.

Key duties include preparing reports under US GAAP, performing reconciliations, accruals, and supporting IFRS/statutory reporting while collaborating with auditors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA or ACCA preferred.
• Minimum three years in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations and accruals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration across locations.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS; familiarity with SOX controls.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA; exposure to audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports under US GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
• Prepare accruals with supporting documentation.
• Support IFRS and local GAAP statutory reporting.
• Reconcile US GAAP and local GAAP differences.
• Analyse performance, investigate variances and provide commentary.
• Support transfer pricing and FP&A collaborations.
• Coordinate year-end audits and SOX compliance.
• Identify process improvements and run ad hoc analyses.
