Engage People Recruitment is assisting a client in Drogheda to hire an experienced Commercial Account Executive. The role focuses on managing a portfolio of commercial clients, renewing policies, and seeking growth opportunities within a customer-focused insurance environment.

Qualifications

• CIP qualified or grandfathered in Commercial General Insurance.
• 3-5 years' experience in a Commercial Insurance role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities.
• Commercially focused with a strong understanding of client needs.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
• Experience with Relay or a similar insurance broking system.
• Ability to meet Fitness & Probity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial clients and new business opportunities.
• Oversee full renewal process from review to completion.
• Re-market and negotiate renewal terms.
• Review policy wording, endorsements and cover requirements.
• Provide clear insurance advice to commercial clients.
• Prepare coverage comparisons and recommendations.
• Manage cases from start to finish.
• Build relationships with clients, insurers and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for growth and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver excellent client experience in collaboration with colleagues.

COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - DROGHEDA

€45,000 - €55,000 + up to €1,500 quarterly bonus

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join our clients growing team in Drogheda.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded insurance professional who enjoys working directly with clients, managing a portfolio and finding the right insurance solutions for businesses.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your accounts, build strong relationships with clients and insurers, and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of commercial clients while also supporting new business and identifying opportunities to develop existing relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing existing commercial business, new business and mid-term adjustments


• Managing the full renewal process from initial review through to completion


• Re-marketing and negotiating competitive renewal terms


• Reviewing policy wording, endorsements and cover requirements


• Providing clear and professional insurance advice to commercial clients


• Preparing coverage comparisons and recommendations


• Managing cases proactively from start to finish


• Building strong relationships with clients, insurers and key stakeholders


• Developing long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth


• Ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met


• Working closely with colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience

What We're Looking For

• CIP qualified or grandfathered in Commercial General Insurance


• Ideally 3-5 years' experience in a Commercial Insurance role


• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
