Job summary

Engage People Recruitment in Drogheda is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Executive to manage a portfolio of commercial clients and secure the right insurance solutions for businesses. You will own accounts, build relationships with clients and insurers, support new business, and drive growth in a growing practice. The package includes €45,000–€55,000 salary, up to €1,500 quarterly bonus, 25 days leave, and hybrid working.

Qualifications

• CIP qualified or grandfathered in Commercial General Insurance.
• 3-5 years' experience in a Commercial Insurance role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities.
• Experience with Relay or a similar insurance broking system.

Responsibilities

• Managing existing commercial business, new business and mid-term adjustments.
• Managing the full renewal process from initial review through to completion.
• Re-marketing and negotiating competitive renewal terms.
• Reviewing policy wording, endorsements and cover requirements.
• Providing clear and professional insurance advice to commercial clients.
• Preparing coverage comparisons and recommendations.
• Managing cases proactively from start to finish.
• Building strong relationships with clients, insurers and key stakeholders.
• Developing long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
• Working closely with colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience.

The Role

COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - DROGHEDA

€45,000 - €55,000 + up to €1,500 quarterly bonus

What We're Looking For

• CIP qualified or grandfathered in Commercial General Insurance
• Ideally 3-5 years' experience in a Commercial Insurance role
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities
• Commercially focused with a strong understanding of client needs
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
• Experience with Relay or a similar insurance broking system
• Ability to meet Fitness & Probity requirements
