Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Ireland seeks a Senior Engineer for planning and design of transport projects. Based in Dublin or Dundalk, you’ll lead road, rail, and active travel schemes, participate in EIAR/CPO processes, and manage procurement and contract administration.

You should have a degree in engineering (Level 8/9) with Chartered status or progress toward it, plus experience in consultancy or construction with strong leadership and client relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in consultancy or construction environments.
• Engineering degree (Level 8/9).
• Chartered Engineer, or close to attaining Chartership.
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and translating them into buildable designs.
• Experience in planning and design of transportation schemes including feasibility studies, detailed design, statutory processes, and contract administration.
• Ability to lead and manage design teams.
• Willingness to develop and build client relationships.
• Experience in preparation of tender proposals and winning bids.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning and design of road, rail, public transport and active travel projects across Ireland.
• Input to statutory processes (EIAR, CPO) and procurement processes; prepare contract documents.
• Oversee contract administration, construction supervision and commercial management.
• Lead and manage design teams and develop client relationships.
• Develop tender proposals and lead bids to win new commissions.
