Mitros seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead HV substation design and delivery from 20kV to 400kV across Ireland, liaising with clients such as EirGrid and ESB Networks. You’ll ensure designs and installations meet safety, compliance and value, from feasibility to energisation.

The role requires a Level 8 degree in Electrical Engineering, 3–5 years HV experience, knowledge of AIS/GIS, IEC standards, and willingness to travel.

Competenze

• Level 8 honours degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience on HV substation projects (38kV+).
• Good understanding of AIS/GIS substations and HV equipment.
• Familiarity with IEC/EN standards and Irish grid connection process.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience on renewables, BESS, data centres or transmission reinforcement.

Mansioni

• Act as Mitros' Engineer on HV substation projects for utilities, IPPs and data centre developers.
• Review contractor designs for compliance with standards and contracts.
• Prepare requirements, technical specs and tender documents.
• Support grid connection applications and interface with EirGrid/ESB Networks.
• Carry out feasibility studies for developers, lenders and investors.
• Monitor construction quality, witness FAT/SAT, and track snagging.
• Write technical reports and client briefings.
• Assist with risk management, change control and project schedules.
• Contribute to proposals and framework submissions.
• Promote safety in design and on site.
• Mentor graduate engineers and share knowledge.
