Hunter Philips Executive Search is partnering with a leading electrical engineering contractor to recruit a Project Manager for HV substations across Ireland. The role covers mobilisation through handover on major 110kV–400kV projects, with a pipeline extending to 2029.

Location spread includes Cork, Limerick, Wexford, Roscommon and Northern Ireland; on-site 2–3 days/week with flexible remote/office options.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering HV substations, transmission and distribution projects.
• Strong electrical engineering background; civil/construction management considered.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary construction teams and interfaces.
• Solid knowledge of project planning, cost control and contract administration.
• Experience with ESB Networks, EirGrid or National Grid beneficial.
• Location: Ireland; multiple sites; on-site 2-3 days per week with some remote/office flexibility.

Responsabilités

• Take responsibility for successful delivery, ensuring programme, budget, quality and HSE compliance.
• Manage mobilisation, engineering, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, suppliers and site management personnel.
• Oversee construction programmes, project budgets, resource planning and contractual obligations.
• Manage project risks, identify potential delays and implement mitigation and recovery strategies.
• Act as a key interface with clients, engineering consultants, network operators and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance, prepare progress reports and communicate milestones to senior management.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with technical specifications and industry standards.
