Our client is now seeking an experienced HR manager to join their team. With a workforce of approximately 100 employees, we are looking to appoint an experienced and proactive HR Manager to take ownership of our HR function and play an important role in supporting the continued growth and development of the business. This is a hands‑on role with responsibility for payroll, HR administration, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, training, compliance and employee engagement, while also supporting the wider business in developing and improving its people practices.
Requirements: Previous experience in a generalist HR Manager or senior HR role. Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice. Experience managing payroll. Strong HR administration experience. Experience dealing with employee relations matters. Experience managing recruitment and onboarding. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work confidentially and professionally. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Strong attention to detail. Good IT and systems skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Provide backup support for the company's payroll function, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time when required. Provide cover and support to the HR/Payroll team member responsible for day‑to‑day payroll processing, including during periods of absence or increased workload. Assist with reviewing payroll information and support the resolution of payroll queries or issues as required. Provide support in maintaining accurate employee records, contracts, personnel files, absence and leave records. Assist with HR administration and documentation, ensuring processes are carried out in accordance with Irish employment legislation and data protection requirements. Liaise with Finance, Revenue and external payroll providers as required in relation to payroll and HR administration. Maintain sufficient knowledge of the payroll process and systems to provide effective cover and ensure continuity of payroll operations when required. Softworks HRIS System Ownership Have overall ownership of the Softworks HRIS and Employee Self‑Service system. Oversee the day‑to‑day administration of the system and the HR team member responsible for maintaining it. Ensure employee information, attendance, leave and absence records are accurate and up to date. Oversee new starter and leaver processes and employee access. Support managers and employees with Softworks queries. Identify opportunities to improve processes and maximise the use of Softworks across the business.
