Job summary

Leinster Appointments Ltd in Co. Kildare is recruiting for a permanent, full-time HR Operations Manager. The role offers 3 days at home and 2 days in the office, with flexibility for meetings and events.

You will lead HR operations across the employee lifecycle, drive process improvements, implement an HRIS, and deliver analytics and reporting to support business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Honours Degree in Business, HR or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in a human-centric, strategic HR environment, with experience leading an HR Operations function.
  • Experience implementing and operationalising HR and payroll systems is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner with and influence individuals at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to implement and optimise people systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of HR operational services across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, changes, probation, absence, leave, records, offboarding).
  • Collaborate with payroll, pensions, compensation and benefits to ensure seamless lifecycle administration.
  • Develop, document, standardise and continuously improve HR processes, workflows and service standards.
  • Act as HR lead for Joiner/Mover/Leaver, onboarding and induction in partnership with the HR team.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance HR operations to reduce manual work and enable strategic work.
  • Manage end-to-end talent acquisition and continuously improve recruitment practices.
  • Design and implement best-practice people policies ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Lead HR business intelligence reporting with KPIs and people metrics to monitor performance.
  • Lead HRIS implementation and ensure data accuracy, security and compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Support system enhancements, automation, self-service, reporting and digital HR processes.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and stakeholders to deliver strategic people initiatives.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and change programmes with high-quality delivery.
  • Comply with Health and Safety provisions and participate in performance management.

Job description

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a permanent, full time HR Operations Manager role in Co. Kildare This is a permanent, full time role 3 days at home, 2 days in the office. Main Duties
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of HR operational services, ensuring effective and efficient administration across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, probation, absence, leave, employee records, offboarding and related HR processes.
  • Work closely with colleagues across payroll, pensions, compensation and benefits to ensure seamless employee lifecycle administration and a consistent employee experience.
  • Develop, document, standardise and continuously improve HR processes, workflows and service standards, ensuring clear ownership, effective controls, appropriate approvals and a consistent experience for employees and managers.
  • Act as the HR lead for the Joiner, Mover, Leaver process, employee onboarding and induction, working closely with the wider HR team.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and enhance HR operations, reducing manual administration and enabling the HR team to focus on higher-value advisory, strategic and people-focused activities.
  • Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition process, continuously reviewing and enhancing recruitment practices to ensure the effective and efficient attraction of talent and capabilities to the organisation.
  • Design and implement best-practice people policies, practices and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative requirements.
  • Lead HR business intelligence reporting, providing a suite of KPIs and people metrics to monitor business performance, including data quality, process cycle times, absence, headcount changes, recruitment approvals, employee lifecycle activity and policy compliance trends.
  • Act as the HR lead for the operational use of HR systems, ensuring employee data is accurate, secure and maintained in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Support system enhancements, automation, employee self-service, reporting and the adoption of digital HR processes.
  • Lead the implementation of a new HRIS.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of strategic people initiatives, projects, events, communications and change programmes.
  • Lead and contribute to HR and cross-functional projects, continuous improvement initiatives, employee engagement activities and ad hoc business priorities, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with organisational and people strategy objectives.
  • Comply fully with all company provisions relating to Health and Safety and the welfare of colleagues and members of the public using the premises.
  • Proactively participate in the Performance Management process, ensuring delivery of personal and wider team objectives.
Main Requirements
  • Hons Degree in Business, HR or a related discipline is essential.
  • Experience of implementing and operationalising HR and payroll systems is desirable.
  • 5+ years' experience within a human-centric, strategic HR environment, with experience leading an HR Operations function.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement and operationalise people systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively partner with and challenge individuals at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, organise workloads effectively and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Resilient and confident in dealing with high-pressure situations and competing demands.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities, with the ability to build, develop and lead a high-performing team and achieve results through others.
  • CIPD accreditation is desirable.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
