Job summary

Uniphar is seeking an HR Generalist to provide hands-on support across the employee lifecycle and partner with managers to deliver people processes, policies and initiatives that serve the business. You will handle employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, performance and talent management, compliance and change projects, while upholding employment law and organisational policies.

Qualifications

• Essential Degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a generalist HR role.
• Desirable CIPD qualification or equivalent.
• Experience within retail, healthcare, pharmacy, or multi-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters.
• Support disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, and probationary processes.
• Attend formal meetings and ensure accurate documentation is maintained.
• Promote consistent application of company policies and procedures.
• Support the resolution of workplace issues in a fair and timely manner.
• Define key roles and specifications as part of workforce planning.
• Support with interviews and hiring managers with recruitment best practice.
• Ensure a positive onboarding experience for new colleagues.
• Facilitate induction activities and completion of new starter documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
• Produce HR reports and management information as required.
• Support payroll-related activities and ensure timely submission of employee changes.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal governance requirements.
• Assist with policy development, review, and communication.
• Support performance review processes across the business.
• Assist managers in setting objectives and development plans.
• Coordinate learning and development initiatives.
• Support talent management and succession planning activities.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programmes.
• Assist in the delivery of wellbeing, diversity, equity, and inclusion activities.
• Partner with managers to identify opportunities to improve colleague experience.
• Support internal communications relating to people initiatives.
• Assist with organisational change programmes and consultations.
• Support workforce planning and organisational design projects.
• Contribute to HR improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
• Participate in HR projects as required.
