Job summary

Elis Ireland is seeking an HR Generalist to support multiple Cork sites, reporting to the HR Business Partner. The role covers employee relations, recruitment, performance management, HR administration and compliance with Irish employment law, with regular travel between sites and own transport required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HR admin or generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of ROI employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting employee relations cases.
• Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR support and guidance to managers on ER matters.
• Assist investigations and document in line with policies and Irish law.
• Support conflict resolution and positive workplace culture.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for assigned sites.
• Coordinate onboarding and induction programmes.
• Maintain GDPR-compliant employee records.
• Prepare regular HR reports.
• Support probation reviews and performance improvement plans.
• Coach managers on development and engagement.
• Ensure HR policies comply with Irish legislation.
• Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives.
• Support HR trainings and workshops.
• Support employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist wellbeing programmes.
• Promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
