HR Generalist
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team in either Dublin or Wexford.
This is a hands‑on HR role supporting the full employee lifecycle, including HR administration, onboarding, employee relations support, HR systems and process improvement.
The role would suit an experienced HR Coordinator, HR Administrator or HR Generalist who is looking to broaden their experience and develop further within a busy and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support onboarding activities, including preparing documentation, coordinating new starter processes and responding to employee queries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems.
- Process HR transactions including new hires, job changes, promotions and leavers.
- Respond to HR queries via the HR inbox in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare employment letters, contract amendments and other HR documentation.
- Support probation tracking, contract renewals and other HR administration.
- Act as a first point of contact for general HR queries.
- Support employee relations processes, including note‑taking, preparing documentation, scheduling meetings and maintaining case trackers.
- Support the management of sickness and absence cases, including return‑to‑work arrangements and occupational health referrals.
- Assist with group income protection applications and provide administrative support to managers.
- Escalate more complex employee relations matters to the appropriate HR team member.
- Maintain HR system data, including job titles, reporting lines, cost centres and organisational changes.
- Produce routine HR reports covering areas such as headcount, absence and turnover.
- Support managers and employees with HR systems and self‑service functionality.
- Assist with HR projects, policy updates, process improvements and new initiatives.
- Help coordinate training sessions, workshops and HR communications.
- Support talent management, early careers and other people initiatives.
- Assist with the annual compensation and promotions process.
- Maintain awareness of changes to Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Ensure HR activities are carried out in line with company policies, GDPR and relevant legislation.
- Support audits and documentation reviews as required.
- Assist with M&A integration and other business projects where required.
About You
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator or HR Generalist role.
- Experience working with an HRIS; Workday experience would be an advantage.
- CIPD qualification, working towards CIPD, or a relevant HR/business qualification.
- Good understanding of employment legislation in the Republic of Ireland.
- Experience supporting employee relations processes and HR documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A customer‑focused approach with a genuine interest in delivering a positive employee experience.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A proactive and practical approach, with the ability to work independently while also being part of a wider HR team.
Location: Dublin or Wexford
Salary: €40,000-€45,000 depending on experience
