Our client, a leading professional services organisation, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their collaborative HR team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with managers on a broad range of HR matters and providing practical, commercial HR support. A key focus of the role will be managing employee relations matters, while also supporting HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working as part of a supportive HR team, you will partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver a high‑quality HR service and contribute to a positive employee experience.
Location: Wexford (Hybrid – 2 Days Office / 3 Days Remote)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day HR support and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of HR matters.
- Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management and workplace investigations.
- Coach and support managers on employee relations best practice and the application of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain compliant with employment legislation and organisational standards.
- Support the delivery of HR initiatives and people projects across areas such as employee engagement, organisational change and process improvement.
- Assist with HR reporting, documentation and maintenance of employee records.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing practical and commercially focused HR advice.
- Support change initiatives and organisational projects as required.
- Contribute to the ongoing review and enhancement of HR policies, procedures and ways of working.
- Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver an exceptional employee experience.
About You
You are an experienced HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, providing practical HR advice and managing employee relations matters with confidence. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy supporting both operational HR activity and wider people initiatives.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong employee relations experience, with confidence managing disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management and other employee relations cases.
- Sound knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence and support managers at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience supporting HR projects or change initiatives would be advantageous.
- Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A relevant third‑level qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be an advantage.
