Job summary

Gilligan Black Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a Dublin-based team, supporting multiple locations across Ireland. You will partner with senior management to deliver practical, commercially-focused HR solutions and drive people initiatives to support business performance.

You will advise on employee relations, coaching, change management, and workforce planning, ensuring HR best practice is embedded across the organisation while maintaining strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or similar generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence, challenge, and build credibility with managers at all levels.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers and leadership teams across multiple sites, providing expert HR advice and guidance.
• Lead and support a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, and investigations.
• Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in people management.
• Support organisational change initiatives, restructures, and workforce planning where required.
• Drive performance management processes, ensuring consistency, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and internal HR policies.
• Support talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.

An opportunity to partner closely with operational and senior management to deliver practical, commercially driven HR solutions.

You will play a key role in supporting business performance through effective employee relations, coaching managers, driving people initiatives, and ensuring HR best practice is embedded across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Partner with managers and leadership teams across multiple sites, providing expert HR advice and guidance.
• Lead and support a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, and investigations.

Experience / Requirements include:

• Proven experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or similar generalist HR role.
• Strong employee relations experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence, challenge, and build credibility with managers at all levels.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a wider HR team.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout Ireland.
