Job summary

Harri is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee daily hotel operations and ensure the highest standards of guest service. You will lead the team, coordinate with departments, and respond professionally to any situation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication, team leadership, and adherence to HACCP, health and safety, and company policies. You will participate in training, handle cash procedures, inventory counts, and occasional cross-department duties at our Sligo hotel.

Qualifications

• Leadership and frontline management experience in hospitality.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem solving.
• Good communication skills across departments and with guests.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time in uniform per policy.
• Handover with incoming/outgoing shift.
• Liaise with General Manager on daily operations.
• Provide supervision across departments (F&B, reception, accommodation).
• Inform guests about services and opening hours.
• Carry out shifts in hotel departments as required.
• Ensure smooth operation and staffing within budgets and standards.
• Assist weekly stock counts in laundry, alcohol, food, crockery/cutlery.
• Handle guest complaints professionally.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
• Comply with fire, health and safety, hygiene and security policies.
• Ensure cash handling procedures are followed.
• May perform duties in other hotel areas as required.
• Ensure HACCP systems on shift are completed.
• Comply with company procedures and policies.
