Job summary

Whites of Wexford is seeking a Duty Manager for our 4* hotel in Wexford Town. You will work closely with the management team on day-to-day operations and manage all aspects of the hotel when on duty.

The role requires hands-on leadership in F&B service, staff rostering and stocktakes, plus driving sales initiatives with the in-house sales team. A strong background in F&B and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy hotel in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of the food & beverage industry.
• HACCP trained.
• Able to multitask and assist across all hotel areas.
• Experience with hotel front office systems is beneficial.
• Experience in food & beverage, conference & banqueting and events.
• Strong people management and excellent communication skills.
• Excellent people skills and ability to work in a team or alone.
• Available for early/late shifts on a 7-day roster.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the hotel's management team on the day to day running of this busy property.
• Management of all aspects of the hotel while on duty.
• Having a hands‑on approach while on duty in areas where assistance is needed.
• Working closely with the teams within the food & beverage departments of the hotel - it is important that the candidate has good experience in the area of food & beverage.
• Having a hands on role within the food & beverage service departments.
• Stocktakes.
• Staff training and development
• Staff Rostering
• Driving sales initiatives for the property - in conjunction with the hotels in-house sales team.
• Covering duty management shifts within the hotel property.
• Ensuring excellent service is provided to all guests/visitors to the property.
