Job summary

Whites of Wexford is seeking a Duty Manager for our 4* hotel in Wexford Town. You will work closely with the management team on the day-to-day running of the property and manage all aspects of the hotel while on duty.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of the food and beverage sector, and excellent communication skills. You will cover shifts across a 7-day roster and drive sales initiatives with the in-house team.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience in a similar role within a busy hotel.
• Strong knowledge of the food & beverage industry.
• HACCP trained.
• Able to multi-task and help out across hotel areas.
• Experience with hotel front office systems is beneficial.
• Experience in food & beverage and conference & banqueting and events.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Team player and able to work on own initiative.
• Available to work early/late shifts and on a 7 day roster.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the hotel’s management team on the day to day running of this busy property.
• Management of all aspects of the hotel while on duty.
• Hands-on approach while on duty in areas where assistance is needed.
• Working with the food & beverage departments of the hotel.
• Hands on role within the food & beverage service departments.
• Stocktakes.
• Staff training and development
• Staff Rostering
• Driving sales initiatives for the property – in conjunction with the hotels in-house sales team.
• Covering duty management shifts within the hotel property.
• Ensuring excellent service is provided to all guests/visitors to the property.
