Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the Head Office environment.
  • Coordinate office layouts, moves and changes to workspace configuration.
  • Manage workplace furniture and equipment requirements, including desks, chairs and related office equipment.
  • Ensure the workplace remains safe, functional, professional and fit for purpose.
  • Coordinate accessibility requirements and appropriate workplace supports.
  • Identify facilities issues early and ensure they are resolved effectively.
  • Plan and coordinate workplace improvements, refurbishment and maintenance activity.
  • Oversee front desk operations, including reception, visitor management, meeting room coordination and conference centre support.
  • Work closely with reception, security and other service providers to maintain a professional experience for employees and visitors.
  • Identify practical improvements to the workplace environment and employee experience.
  • Coordinate workplace requirements for new starters, visitors and specific employee needs.
  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence, responding quickly and effectively to issues as they arise.
  • Lead and coordinate colleagues and service teams supporting workplace operations.
  • Set clear priorities and service standards and provide effective day-to-day leadership.
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors and external suppliers across workplace activity.
  • Manage performance, workload and development for direct reports.
  • Ensure appropriate cover and continuity across critical workplace services.
  • Build strong working relationships across the business and ensure clear ownership and accountability.
  • Own and manage the workplace operations budget, ensuring expenditure is controlled and aligned with business priorities.
  • Develop annual and longer-term plans for workplace requirements, maintenance, equipment, services and future investment.
  • Manage key workplace service providers and vendors, including cleaning, window cleaning, security, reception and other facilities-related suppliers.
  • Set clear expectations, monitor supplier performance and challenge cost, service levels and value for money.
  • Manage quotations, supplier selection, works coordination and business cases for workplace investment, upgrades and changes.
  • Provide clear input into wider business planning around workplace capacity, services, costs and operational requirements.
  • Anticipate future workplace needs and ensure requirements are planned rather than managed reactively.
  • Coordinate internal and external events hosted by Dunnes Stores.
  • Manage larger or higher-profile events, including brand ambassador activity, launches and external events hosted on site.
  • Coordinate event logistics including venue preparation, suppliers, catering, equipment and stakeholders.
  • Ensure events are delivered professionally and reflect the Dunnes Stores brand and culture.

We are looking for an experienced Head Office Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the effective day-to-day operation, planning and continuous improvement of the Dunnes Stores Head Office environment.

This is a broad management role covering workplace and facilities operations, vendor and service management, office experience, accessibility, internal events, people leadership, budget ownership and business planning.

The role requires someone who can balance hands-on operational delivery with forward planning, cost management and leadership. You will ensure the workplace functions effectively today while anticipating future needs and planning improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Workplace & Facilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the Head Office environment.

About You

You will be a practical, highly organised operational leader who takes ownership and enjoys working in a varied environment.

You will be comfortable moving between immediate operational requirements and longer-term planning, whether resolving a facilities issue, managing a supplier, coordinating an office change, reviewing budgets or planning future workplace requirements.

You will bring:
  • Previous experience in facilities management, workplace operations, corporate services or a similar large and complex operational environment.
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling operational expenditure.
  • Strong people leadership and coordination experience.
