Job summary

IT Search in Ireland's South Dublin is seeking a Head of Infrastructure & Cloud to lead our servers, storage, networking and core cloud platforms in a complex, highly regulated environment.

You will steer a mature Network and Infrastructure team through cloud migrations, infrastructure modernisation and resilience programs, driving security, performance and strategic technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in infrastructure, networking or cloud.
• Proven leadership of technical teams in a medium/large organisation.
• Experience delivering cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure transformation projects including cloud migrations, platform upgrades and technology refresh programmes.
• Develop and deliver infrastructure and cloud strategy and roadmaps.
• Ensure infrastructure services are secure, resilient, scalable and highly available.
• Oversee infrastructure performance, capacity, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Support infrastructure and integration requirements across major business technology programmes.
• Work closely with Cybersecurity, Applications, PMO and other technology teams on major transformation initiatives.
• Manage key infrastructure vendors, technology partners, budgets and contracts.

Head of Infrastructure & Cloud opportunity with a leading organisation based in South Dublin. This is a senior technology leadership role with responsibility for servers, storage, networking, cloud platforms and core infrastructure services across a complex, highly regulated environment.

The role will lead an established Network and Infrastructure team, with responsibility across virtualisation, firewall/security technologies and the wider infrastructure estate. There will be a strong focus on major infrastructure projects including cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation, resilience and scalability as the organisation continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure transformation projects including cloud migrations, platform upgrades and technology refresh programmes

Experience

• Experience delivering significant infrastructure projects, including cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation
• Strong technical understanding across networking, virtualisation, firewall/security and cloud infrastructure.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity and IT service management
• Experience with budget, vendor and senior stakeholder management
• Experience within regulated 24/7 business-critical environments
