Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking a Director of Global Infrastructure & Operations in Dublin to lead a 15-strong team across 11 sites. You will own the strategy for 24/7 manufacturing infrastructure, drive modernisation initiatives, and advance Azure/hybrid cloud, network transformation, OT security, and IT/OT segmentation.

Responsibilities include governance of vendors, budget, and resilience planning, ensuring continuous operations, and aligning infrastructure with data, analytics, and big data

Qualifications

• Senior infrastructure leader with experience in 24/7 manufacturing or production environments.
• Proven ability to modernise global infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Strong governance of Azure and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with OT security and IT/OT segmentation.
• Leadership of distributed teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global Infrastructure & Operations strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure 24/7 availability of infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations.
• Modernise and standardise infrastructure across 11 international sites.
• Lead Azure and hybrid/multi-cloud development and operations.
• Deliver network transformation including migration from MPLS to direct internet.
• Improve OT infrastructure, security and IT/OT segmentation.
• Strengthen monitoring, resilience, DR and Business Continuity.
• Lead and develop a distributed team of infrastructure managers and engineers.
• Manage technology vendors and service providers against SLAs and KPIs.
• Support infra requirements for Data/Analytics initiatives and cloud cost optimisation.

Currently investing in the modernisation of their global technology estate and are looking for a senior Infrastructure & Operations leader to support this transformation.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Global Infrastructure & Operations leader with a strong background supporting 24/7 manufacturing or production environments. You will lead a team of approximately 15 people across 11 international sites and should have experience across:

• Microsoft Azure and multi-cloud environments
• Infrastructure modernisation and transformation
• Enterprise networking and connectivity
• Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure
• OT security and IT/OT segmentation
• Infrastructure resilience and high availability
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
• Monitoring and observability
• Vendor and managed service management
• Leading managers and technical team leads

Responsibilities

• Lead the global Infrastructure & Operations strategy and roadmap.
