Job summary

The Brehon Hotel & Spa in Killarney is seeking a confident Front Desk Receptionist to deliver warm, first-class service and manage guest check-in/check-out experiences. You will support guests with inquiries, bookings for meals and spa services, and collaborate with the team to maintain high service standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years as a Front Desk receptionist in a 4- or 5-star hotel, strong communication and organisational skills, and a proactive, guest‑oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years proven experience as Front Desk receptionist within a 4/5 stars Hotel
• Experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5 stars Hotel will be an advantage
• Warm, friendly, positive personality with a genuine interest in guest care
• Team player and also willing to use own initiative when needed
• Good communication skills required
• Organisational skills are a must

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and checking in guests on arrival and setting the tone for a great experience
• Helping with guest queries to maximise their enjoyment of their stay including helping with meal and spa bookings
• Liaise with the manager on a weekly basis with regard to any issues / incidents which may occur in the Front Desk
• Ensuring all guest billing, accounts are accurate and presented to the guest for payment part of their departure
• Supporting team members in all areas as Front Desk is a source of information for the whole team
