Job summary

Grand Hotel Malahide seeks an experienced Hotel Receptionist for a full-time permanent role starting March. You will join the front office team to welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs and coordinate guest services with warmth and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a busy hotel reception, strong communication skills, and a commitment to high standards and guest care. Flexible working conditions and staff benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as receptionist in a hotel environment.
• Good knowledge of Opera PMS; Opera Cloud preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and outline hotel facilities.
• Check in and out guests using Opera Cloud.
• Coordinate special requests with other departments.
• Post charges to guest rooms accurately.
• Inform Duty Manager of queries or complaints.
• Handle safe deposit and foreign exchange at the desk.
• Oversee cash floats and require proper sign-out procedures.
• Attend department meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure accurate shift handovers with detailed information.
• Update Opera on serviced and out-of-service rooms.
