Job summary

Grand Hotel Malahide is seeking an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join our front office team on a full-time permanent basis from March. You will greet guests, check in/out using Opera Cloud, and coordinate requests with various hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a busy hotel reception, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, professional approach and a team-focused

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy hotel reception is required.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS/Opera Cloud preferred.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and outline hotel facilities.
• Check in/out guests using Opera Cloud.
• Communicate guest requests to departments (dining, taxis, room service).
• Post charges to guest rooms accurately.
• Inform Duty Manager of queries, complaints or suggestions.
• Handle safe deposits and foreign exchange at the desk.
• Manage departmental floats and ensure proper sign-in/out.
• Attend training and meetings as required.
• Pass shift information accurately during handover.
• Update Opera on room statuses with Accommodation.
