Job summary

Fota Island Resort is seeking a General Operative to support our kitchens, dining rooms, event venues and offices. Based at the resort in Cork, the role follows Monday to Friday day shifts with occasional weekend work.

You will assist with stock handling, waste management, deliveries and general duties across departments to ensure smooth operation. We are looking for a practical, reliable individual with a clean driving licence, good communication skills and the ability to adapt to hotel

Qualifications

• Clean Driver's licence required.
• Awareness of Waste Management desirable but not essential.
• Awareness of stock rotation and FIFO desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to adapt to hotel-specific processes and procedures.
• Attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with refuse recycling.
• Receiving, checking and storing stock deliveries when needed.
• Assisting with stock rotation.
• Maintaining and cleaning of Keg Rooms.
• Wrapping and preparing empty kegs and crates for collection.
• Maintaining and cleaning of Outside Loading Bay.
• Delivery of orders to all departments across the resort.
• Assisting with delivery and removal of furniture or other items from all departments as required.
• Assisting with any other adhoc duties as assigned by management.

This position is Monday to Friday day shifts, with the occasional requirement to work weekends.
