Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced General Insurance Executive for a full-time, office-based role in Longford. You will manage personal lines, support commercial insurance activities, and handle renewals, new business, quotations and policy administration with a focus on service quality.

The ideal candidate will have prior insurance experience in a broker environment, be APA qualified, and possess strong communication and IT skills for multi-system work.

Qualifications

• Previous insurance experience essential, ideally within a broker environment.
• APA qualification at a minimum.
• Strong working knowledge of Personal Lines insurance products.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewals, new business, quotations and mid-term adjustments across Motor, Home, Van, Travel, Farm and other personal lines products.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver a high standard of customer service.
• Identify opportunities to retain and grow the existing client base through cross-selling and proactive account management.
• Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure quotes and process policy changes.
• Maintain accurate policy records and client documentation using broker management systems and insurer portals.
• Support general office administration, invoicing, payments and compliance activities.

The Role My client, a well established insurance broker is seeking an experienced General Insurance Executive to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent, office based position based in Longford. As the General Insurance Executive, you'll manage personal lines business while supporting commercial insurance activities, handling renewals, new business, quotations, policy administration and client servicing, with a strong focus on customer service and career development.

Tasks & Duties

• Managing renewals, new business, quotations and mid-term adjustments across Motor, Home, Van, Travel, Farm and other personal lines products
• Building strong client relationships and delivering a consistently high standard of customer service
• Identifying opportunities to retain and grow the existing client base through cross-selling and proactive account management
• Liaising with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive quotations and process policy changes
• Maintaining accurate policy records and client documentation using broker management systems and insurer portals
• Supporting general office administration, invoicing, payments and compliance activities

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

• Previous insurance experience essential, ideally gained within a broker environment
• APA qualified at a minimum
• Strong working knowledge of Personal Lines insurance products
• Exposure to Commercial Lines would be distinct an advantage
• Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills
• Confident IT skills, with the ability to work across multiple systems
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a small team
