Our client, an established independent insurance brokerage with a substantial presence across Ireland and the UK, is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Executive to join their growing Dublin team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The role carries responsibility for all aspects of clients' Motor and Household insurance requirements, with regular contact with both existing and prospective customers. It would suit a self-motivated, customer-focused professional who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and is looking for a clear route to progress, including the option to move into a Commercial role over time.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full personal lines cycle across Motor and Household – new business, mid-term adjustments, renewals and claims support.
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for existing clients, delivering first-class customer care and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
- Handle inbound and outbound client contact by phone and email in a professional, confident manner.
- Source and negotiate the most competitive terms from the panel of insurers on behalf of clients.
- Convert new business enquiries and identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across the existing book.
- Prepare accurate quotations, documentation and renewal invitations within agreed service standards.
- Maintain accurate client records on the broker management system and ensure files are complete and audit-ready.
- Ensure all activity is fully compliant with the Central Bank of Ireland's Minimum Competency Code and wider regulatory requirements.
- Work to individual and team targets while supporting colleagues to meet shared deadlines.
- Maintain CPD requirements and contribute to the ongoing development of the team.
Skills & Experience
- APA (Personal Lines) qualified as a minimum; CIP qualified or working towards CIP is an advantage.
- Minimum of 12-24 months' experience within a Personal Lines department.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Motor and Household insurance products and processes.
- Full compliance with the Central Bank of Ireland's Minimum Competency Code.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a confident telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail and time management.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and solution-focused, with the ability to use your own initiative.
- Well-developed negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong IT skills; experience of broker management systems (Applied Relay or similar) is an advantage.
