Job summary

Eyre Square Hotel in Galway City seeks an experienced Hotel Manager to lead day-to-day operations and guest satisfaction. You will drive revenue, maintain standards, and lead a service-oriented team in a city-centre property with significant growth potential within the Byrne Hotel Group.

Reporting to group management, you will oversee budgets, HR compliance, and relationships with partners while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Hotel Manager or similar role.
• Proven track record in operational and financial performance management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
• Knowledge of Opera Cloud, Procure Wizard, and Symphony preferred.
• Relevant qualification in Hospitality, Business, or Hotel Management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations and guest experiences.
• Maintain service standards across all departments.
• Lead daily/weekly briefings to align the team with KPIs.
• Manage departmental budgets and cost control.
• Support sales and marketing with the Group team.
• Recruit, train, and develop departmental managers and supervisors.
• Foster a positive, guest-focused culture.
• Conduct performance reviews and development plans.
• Ensure HR, health & safety compliance and employment law.
• Act as the face of the hotel for guests, partners and the community.
• Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain relationships with corporate/local partners for repeat business.
• Ensure licensing, fire and health & safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to uphold building standards.
