Job summary

HYDE Hotel in Galway City Centre is seeking a General Manager to lead the property’s strategy, guest experience, and financial performance. You will balance room revenue with strong F&B execution across HYDE Bar & Restaurant, Jekyll, and Wylde Café, while maintaining brand standards and owner relationships.

The role requires 3–5+ years in senior hotel management, proven P&L ownership, and the ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced city‑centre environment.

Qualifications

• Significant senior hotel management experience (GM or senior Operations Manager).
• Proven track record of delivering room revenue and profitability.
• Experience in standalone bars and busy city‑centre venues, events, and multi-outlet operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across HYDE Hotel and outlets to drive revenue growth and guest experience.
• Own the hotel’s P&L and lead commercial, marketing, and distribution strategies.
• Oversee rooms operations, front desk, reservations, and guest communications.
• Direct F&B operations across HYDE Bar & Restaurant, Jekyll, and Wylde Café with integrated commercial plans.
• Maximise revenue from events and functions at Jekyll, maintaining quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with marketing and community partners to grow brand presence in Galway.
• Manage financial controls, budgeting, procurement, and cost containment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, licensing, and quality standards across departments.
