Life Credit Union in Naas, Co. Kildare, is hiring a Credit Control Officer on a Specified Purpose Contract to cover a maternity leave. Based at the Naas Main Street branch, you will manage day-to-day credit control activity and develop tailored repayment plans.

The role requires experience in credit control, strong communication, IT skills (Excel/Word), and the ability to work in a team while ensuring compliance with internal policies. Flexible working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• QFA/APA Loans qualification is required.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Three years’ relevant experience would be an advantage.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience negotiating payment plans.

Responsabilités

• Manage the day-to-day credit control activities and daily work list on member accounts.
• Meet members and conduct financial reviews to develop tailored repayment plans.
• Build good relationships and ensure members feel valued.
• Monitor, maintain and record repayment agreements entered.
• Identify changes in payment patterns to reduce bad debts risk.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements.
• Resolve member queries in a timely manner.
• Carry out other office duties as required.

An opportunity has now arisen for a Credit Control Officer to join the teamat Life Credit Union for a Specified Purpose Contract covering a Maternity Leave. This role would suit a candidate with previous credit control experience who would like to gain valuable experience within the Financial Services sector.

Background to the Credit Union:

Life Credit Union operates 4 branches in Naas, Monread, Newbridge and Maynooth. Life Credit Union is dedicated to delivering exceptional value and service to our members, which we have been providing for over 50 years. Life Credit Union is among the largest Credit Unions in Ireland with a membership base of 40,000 members.

Reporting directly to the Credit Control Team Leader, the successful candidate will be primarily based in the Main Street Naas branch but may be required to work in the other locations.Flexible working arrangements are available as an option.

The working days will be five days Monday to Friday. The weekly hours will be 37.5.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-today credit control activities and daily work list on member accounts.

• Meeting members and conducting and assessing financial reviews with a view to developing tailored repayment plans.

• Build good relationships and ensure members continue to feel valued.

• Monitor, maintain and record repayment agreements entered.

• Identify changes in payment patterns and act accordingly to reduce the risk of bad debts.

• Be aware of and compliant with Credit Union internal policies, processes and legislative requirements.

• Resolve member queries in a timely manner.

• Other office duties as required.
