Job summary

Expeditors in Shannon, Ireland seeks a Freight Operations Coordinator to join the Transcon Team, ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight and information. You will handle data entry, track and trace, and liaise with customers and suppliers to meet service standards.

The role emphasizes customer service, regulatory compliance, and continual process improvements to boost efficiency in road freight operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience within Road Freight.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic local regulatory knowledge for compliance.
• Hazardous materials certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
• Track and Trace files and reporting information to customers.
• Use export Workflow to manage the movement of the shipments.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing.
• Ensure delivery of freight and timely clearance when applicable.
• Interact with our customers in arranging their road shipments, meeting customer service standards.
• Contribute to maintain good relationships with suppliers.
• Maintain compliance with internal and external regulations as per government requirements.
• Understand department process flow, and look for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are in place and updated.
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary.
