Logiskills Group is seeking a Road Freight Operations Manager in Shannon, Co. Clare. This full-time role focuses on developing the European Roadfreight product through Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems and Culture in line with company policy.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and a proactive drive to improve operations while maintaining compliance and financial accuracy. Office-based, Monday–Friday, with a €75k package plus benefits.

Title: Road Freight Operations Manager

Location: Shannon, Co. Clare

Terms: Full-time permanent, office-based, Monday-Friday, normal hours

Package: €75k + Benefits

A leading global 3PL now seeks to hire an experienced Road Freight Operations Manager to further develop the European Roadfreight product in the marketplace through focus on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company's policy and procedures.

Core Tasks and Duties;

• The Road Freight Operations Manager will review and provide support with day-to-day quotations
• Support the product by checking local charges and agreement quotes to ensure we minimize potential branch losses.
• Have thorough knowledge of the product including export and import database.
• Plan and support with huddles and monthly meetings to discuss market intelligence and delegate workloads within the team.
• Attend the weekly branch Sales meeting and facilitate discussions on roadfreight with market updates and trends.
• Take an active role in the transition of new business/ updates to existing business.
• Grow department Revenue in line with District budget target and management expectations.
• Ensure that the Roadfreight department is showing clean financial accounting throughout all financial reports.
• Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and training.
• Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department.
• Be involved and suggest system/process improvements.
• Review and conduct staff appraisals and one-to-one meetings in a timely in line with the 3+1 Initiative
• Assist supervisor and key staff with goal setting and monitoring development.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years senior management experience within a busy European roadfreight forwarding or Overland position.
• Ability to exceed customer expectations by anticipating, understanding and meeting needs.
• Proactive approach and is timely and resolute in solving problems, including escalating to management when necessary.
• Excellent communicator who can build rapport and exhibit empathy during interactions.
