The 4-star Salthill Hotel in Galway is seeking a dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the F&B department and its staff, in partnership with the Hotel Manager to deliver outstanding service. You will drive revenue through up-selling, lead a passionate team, and ensure all service areas, menus and staff are prepared on schedule while maintaining health and safety standards.

Hospitality experience, strong leadership, and a positive, proactive attitude are essential

• Minimum of 2 years' management experience within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the F&B department and its staff.
• Ensure compliance with Covid-19, HACCP, Fire, Health and Safety measures.
• Maximise revenue through up-selling and customer engagement.
• Work with Hotel Manager, Head chef and Directors to meet KPI's and budgeting.
• Prepare service areas, menus and staff 10 minutes before schedule.
• Achieve F&B budgets and contribute to strategic goals.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Lead, train and appraise the F&B team; manage conflict effectively.

Job description

We are actively seeking a dynamic Food and Beverage Manager with a high level of initiative and strong problem‑solving abilities to join our team. Overseeing the general day‑to‑day running of the F&B department and its staff, you will work alongside the Hotel Manager to ensure the best possible customer service is provided to our customers every day. We are looking for candidates who already have experience in hospitality, specifically in F&B.

Summary Of Key Activities

• To ensure the F&B department is running smoothly and efficiently
• Ensure that the department complies with and have in place all Covid-19, HACCP, Fire, Health and Safety measures necessary
• Maximising revenue through up-selling, customer engagement is a key part of this role
• Closely working with the Hotel Manager, Head chef & Directors to ensure KPI's, ordering, stocktaking is all in line
• Ensure all service areas, menus and staff are ready to go 10 minutes prior to schedule
• Achieve Food & Beverage budgets and other short and long‑term F&B strategic goals
• To ensure customer's expectations are always exceeded.
• Ensure all customer complaints are resolved to in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide an approachable welcoming atmosphere within the Hotel and between staff and customers
• Be comfortable to create a customer focused driven work place within your team, where positive guest experience is vital.
• Manage and motivate your team to operate the department effectively
• Devise and implement training plans for your team
• Conduct staff reviews, appraisals and any disciplinary or grievance matters
• To ensure a good working environment exists within the F&B department

Experience And Skills

• Minimum of 2 years' management experience within the hospitality industry (Essential)
