Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.

Financial Controller – West Wicklow / Kildare

Our client is seeking a Financial Controller to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Finance team, ensuring that all financial reporting requirements are met, including statutory, regulatory, taxation and internal reporting matters.

This position will report directly to the Managing Director.

The Role

The Financial Controller will take responsibility for the functions of the Accounts Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and all other duties and functions associated with the Accounts Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Processing POs and invoicing through the SAP system.
• Understanding and management of relevant taxes and the tax system, including VAT and payroll taxes.
• Cash management and forecasting.
• Payroll processing.
• Preparation of statutory and regulatory submissions.
• General ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Processing invoices in accordance with internal company procedures in a timely manner.
• Ensuring internal control procedures are adhered to.
• Dealing with queries from external bodies, including customers and suppliers.

The Person

• Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA.
• Minimum of 4 years' post-qualified experience (PQE).
• Reliable, self-motivated and highly organised.
• Strong ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Proficient in BrightPay Payroll, Microsoft Excel and SAP/other ERP systems.
• Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
• Strong focus on consistency and accuracy.
• Experience with stock and Work in Progress (WIP) would be an advantage.
