Leeside Talent Solutions is working with a reputable and growing Irish business to appoint a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the Finance function and will report to a Company Director. They will provide financial and strategic support to senior management, assisting with key business decisions and driving company performance.

The Role
- Completion of Monthly Management Accounts to tight deadlines
- Manage the Cost Accounting role for the manufacturing facility
- Management and development of the Company finance function
- Produce weekly and monthly financial reports and KPI dashboards to support decision making
- Preparation and analysis of annual budgets and forecasts
- Manage fully integrated ERP system
- Responsibility for Inventory reporting and monitoring of stock hedges
- Cash flow management and analysis
- Preparation for the annual statutory audit and liaising with Company auditors during audit.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax and Revenue requirements
- Development of the Company’s Finance strategy
- Implementation and maintenance of financial controls and documentation of systems
- Chair weekly and monthly management meetings
- Management of IT systems, all software and equipment.
- Manage relationship with external IT companies.
- Manage running of Business Intelligence Data platform
- Ad hoc projects as and when they arise.
- Lead ERP development and improvement initiatives as and when required
- Work closely with all departments building strong working relationships
- Work closely with Supply Chain Manager re Customs compliance
- Lead, develop and train the Financial Accountant
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years Financial Controller experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Commercial acumen
- Experience in ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and computer skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Must be a team-player, with flexibility, high attention to detail and ability to interact with different levels of management
