Job summary

EMR Integrated Solutions is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Financial Controller to join our head office in Dunboyne, County Meath. This fixed-term contract (12 months) involves leading financial reporting, management reporting, compliance, financial analysis and supporting strategic business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2–4 years' post-qualification experience in financial accounting or management accounting.
  • Proven experience preparing comprehensive management reports and financial reporting packs.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
  • Experience managing month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
  • Produce detailed management accounts within agreed reporting deadlines.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances, trends, and key business drivers.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting packs and KPI dashboards.
  • Present financial information in a clear and concise manner to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all financial reporting outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and controls.
  • Drive efficiencies through automation and process standardisation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
  • Assist with ERP and financial system development where applicable.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital by monitoring performance, supporting forecasting and treasury activities, reviewing debtor/creditor positions, and identifying opportunities to improve financial efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Monitor budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support operational and commercial activities.
  • Provide recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support year-end statutory accounts preparation and audit processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional advisors as required.
  • Assist with VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory returns.
  • Partner with operational and departmental managers to provide financial support and guidance.
  • Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support business projects and investment decisions.
  • Assist with cost control initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools.

About the Role

EMR Integrated Solutions is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Financial Controller to join our team at our head office in Dunboyne, County Meath.

This is a key finance position with significant responsibility for financial reporting, management reporting, compliance, financial analysis, and supporting strategic business decisions.

The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the business while providing detailed reports and insights to senior management. Reporting is a core function of this role, and candidates must demonstrate strong experience in producing timely, accurate, and meaningful financial reports.

Key Responsibilities;
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
