Job summary

Accountancy & Business Personnel Ltd. is seeking a qualified accountant for a hands-on role to lead financial restructuring in Wicklow, Ireland. This position is part of the senior leadership team and involves designing financial processes, preparing budgets, and delivering management accounts.

Job description

Our client are in the retail sector and seeking to restructure their finance function and migrate all of the work in-house, role will sit on the senior leadership team to drive the business forward. It is a hands on stand-alone position and will invovle conducting a full overhaul of the entire financial procedures of the business including reviewing systems and migrating to a new ERP.

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design and implementation of financial processes and robust financial controls.
• Preparation of annual budgets and financial planning & analysis towards strategic plans for all entities.
• Deliver monthly management accounts along with analysis and commentary to management team and board.
• Manage debtors and creditors, ensure tax compliance, and the preparation of financial statements and audit processes.
• Review systems and implement new system to support the business requirements.

Experience/Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) with relevant experience in a hands on role within an SME environment.
• Proven knowledge of specific financial operations in the retail or a stock related business advantageous.
• Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office & Financial Reporting systems.
