Job summary

Harper Finley Professional Recruitment is seeking an experienced Financial Controller in Blanchardstown, Ireland, to own the finance function and provide strategic financial support to senior leadership.

You will oversee monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow, while driving improvements to controls and systems in a growing Irish business. The role offers close interaction with senior leaders and a broad, impactful remit.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a finance/accounting role at Financial Controller or senior level.
• Experience in management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong commercial mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the finance function.
• Experience in an SME or growing organisation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full finance function and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Ensure accurate month-end and year-end reporting.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, accountants and stakeholders.
• Improve financial controls, systems and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full finance function and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations

• Managing relationships with external auditors, accountants, and key stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience within a finance/accounting role, with experience at Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or senior accounting level
• Strong experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
• Excellent knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Strong attention to detail with a commercial mindset
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the finance function
• Experience within an SME or growing organisation would be advantageous
