Job summary

The Panel in West Dublin is seeking a permanent, part-time Finance role (20-25 hours per week) reporting to the Head of Finance. The position spans reporting, controls and business partnering in a professional Irish environment, with hybrid working and 1 day on site.

Responsibilities include management accounts, budgeting, month-end close, audit support and KPI reporting, plus overseeing payroll inputs and supplier payments. Strong Excel and accounting qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling.
• Experience in management accounts, budgeting, and audits.

Job description

This is a permanent role (20-25 hours per week) reporting to the Head of Finance, working across reporting, controls and business partnering in a varied and professional environment in an established Irish company based in West Dublin.

Hybrid working, 1 day on site

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Support the annual budgeting process, forecast updates and variance analysis
• Prepare audit files and support the preparation of statutory financial statements
• Oversee monthly outsourced payroll (review of inputs, provider coordination, reconciliation) and supplier payments in line with approved controls
• Assist with cashflow forecasting and monitoring, and support process improvements across the finance function
• Provide financial analysis and support to operational managers, and contribute to KPI monitoring and ad hoc projects

The person:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel
• Experienced in management accounts, budgeting/forecasting, month-end and year-end close, and liaising with external auditors
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Claude, Microsoft Copilot) to support analysis, reporting and productivity is desirable
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, able to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary: €43k - €45k based on a 20-25 hour week. Excellent benefits available.
