Job summary

E-Frontiers in Ireland (Tipperary) seeks an experienced Financial Controller to join its senior leadership team. You will own the finance function, delivering accurate reporting, strong controls and strategic support to the business.

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage monthly accounts, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and compliance, while leading the finance team and partnering with operations to improve profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar senior role.
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or project-based environments is desirable.
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and business partnering skills.
  • Solid financial controls and governance understanding.
  • Experience leading and developing finance teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the finance function.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior management.
  • Support CFO with strategic financial insights and planning.
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage year-end audit process and liaise with auditors and banks.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Partner with operations to drive cost control and profitability.
  • Oversee payroll, AP, AR and GL functions.
  • Lead, mentor and develop finance team members.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting capabilities.

Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar senior finance role.
  • Previous experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, or a project-based environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management experience.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and business partnering skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and governance.
  • Experience managing and developing finance teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
