Job summary

St.Vincent’s University Hospital is seeking a Finance Manager- Financial Management & Reporting in the Finance Department. The role will oversee monthly management accounts, IMR submissions, balance sheet reconciliations, and capital grants reporting in collaboration with the Department of Health.

The post involves year-end closure work, liaising with external auditors, and providing financial systems support to the finance team.

Responsibilities

Production of timely and accurate Monthly Management Accounts.
To complete Integrated Management Reports (IMR’s) in conjunction with the Department of Health monthly timetable for submission.
To manage and oversee the monthly reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts.
To manage and oversee all issues relating to capital grants authorised by the Department of Health
To assist in the year end closure of final accounts for the Hospital including preparation of year end accounts including the fixed asset register.
To liaise with the External Auditors during the year-end Audit.
To identify and implement systems to aid the production of financial data.
To provide advice to other members of the finance team on ad-hoc queries that may arise from time to time.
To liaise with the budgetary section in relation to aspects pertaining to Specialty Budgets.
To keep up to date with managerial and organisational developments in the Hospital that may have a direct impact on the production of the Monthly Management Accounts.
