CREGG is seeking a Finance Manager (Grade VII) to lead the hospital's finance function in Limerick on a 12-month maternity cover contract, working with the Head of Finance to ensure accurate reporting and strong financial governance.

The role involves managing Accounts Payable, Patient Accounts, Payroll, and Pensions; delivering monthly management accounts; supporting the IFMS rollout; and partnering with clinical and procurement leads to drive value for money and compliance.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification and be a member of a recognised body (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
• At least 3+ years PQE.
• Experience in HSE or Voluntary hospital is preferred.
• Proven managerial experience within a finance team, preferably in the healthcare sector.
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to lead individuals and influence.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Financial Regulations.
• Experience with large annual budgets and advanced Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead the finance team (AP, Patient Accounts, Payroll & Pensions).
• Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts to the HSE.
• Analyse data and provide actionable insights to the Head of Finance.
• Reconcile balance sheet and Income & Expenditure on a monthly basis.
• Develop KPI reporting to inform key decisions.
• Lead budgeting processes and monitor performance with Department leads.
• Support IFMS implementation and annual Cost Improvement Programmes.
• Assist internal and external audit functions.
