Qualifications

• Knowledge of an integrated payroll system in a large organisation.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with HR regarding new employees, resignations, promotions, leave, pay claims and other agreements.
• Deputise for the deputy payroll manager where necessary.
• Costing of pay claims and ensuring accuracy of reports by coding payroll data to the general ledger.
• Assist with the overall year-end process.
• Update systems to improve service delivery.
• Prepare and present payroll Corporate Staff Induction.
• Keep abreast of developments in Health Service payroll practices.
• Be aware of legislative changes affecting payroll and implement as required.
• Review systems and procedures and implement enhancements.
• Maintain liaison between HR, Pensions and Payroll, and between Payroll and hospital employees.
