Job summary

Viatel Technology Group is seeking an on-site Technical Support Engineer to provide professional IT help to customers, branch offices, and local client sites across Ireland.

You will install, configure, repair, and support desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and software, while diagnosing hardware, OS, software, and network issues. Strong communication and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• On-site technical support across customer sites and branches.
• Install, configure, update, repair desktops, laptops, servers, printers and software.
• Diagnose hardware, OS, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot LAN/Wi‑Fi and basic networking faults.
• Record work and update tickets with clear resolutions.
• Maintain and develop technical certifications relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional on-site technical support to customers, branch offices and local client sites.
• Install, configure, update, repair and support devices and software.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, software and network issues.
• Troubleshoot local network, Wi-Fi, cabling and internet issues.
• Record all work accurately and keep tickets up to date.
• Collaborate with the wider support team to resolve issues efficiently.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest practical improvements.
• Maintain and develop technical skills and certifications.
