Job summary

The Grand Hotel Malahide is seeking an Experienced Hotel Reception Supervisor to join our Front Office team and help deliver a warm, professional guest experience throughout every shift.

You will lead the Reception team, supervise daily operations, assist with check-ins and check-outs, resolve guest queries and coordinate with Housekeeping, Reservations and other departments to maintain the highest standards. Previous Front Office supervisory experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel Reception/Front Office experience is essential.
• Supervisory experience in a hotel environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office and hotel operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Reception team during daily operations.
• Lead by example and ensure professional, welcoming service for all guests.
• Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Handle guest queries and complaints professionally with follow-up.
• Support reservations, room allocations, amendments and cancellations.
• Monitor daily arrivals/departures, VIPs and special requests.
• Ensure accurate guest accounts, payments and cash handling.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Reservations, F&B, Maintenance and other departments.
• Complete shift handovers and ensure procedures and policies are followed.
• Assist with training, coaching and onboarding of new staff.
