Job summary

Client in Dublin seeks an Estimation Manager to lead the pre-construction team within a growing HVAC and building services business. You will oversee the estimating and CAD function, ensure tenders are accurate, competitive and delivered on time, and work with senior leadership to drive business growth.

This is a people-management role focused on leadership, planning and coordination, not purely hands-on estimating, with opportunities for senior leadership advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Estimators and CAD Engineers in HVAC/building services.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with team development focus.
• Experience overseeing tendering, estimation and pre-construction activities.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to influence pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of Estimators and CAD Engineers.
• Allocate resources and workloads across multiple tenders and projects.
• Review tender documentation, drawings and project specs.
• Oversee estimating, costing and proposal preparation activities.
• Ensure technical and commercial accuracy across submissions.
• Support pricing strategy and tender competitiveness.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Drive continuous improvement within estimating and design.
• Coach and mentor team members; support recruitment and growth.
• Collaborate with senior management on project selection and strategy.
• Oversee handover of projects to delivery teams.
