Job summary

Designer Group in Dublin is seeking an Estimation Graduate to join our Estimating team and help prepare tenders for major M&E projects. You will work with experienced estimators, engineers and project teams to gain exposure to drawings, specifications, quantities, supplier quotations and tender submissions.

The role offers hands-on training, exposure to both technical and commercial aspects of projects, and a clear path for career progression in pre-construction and estimating.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of estimates and tenders.
• Review project drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and material calculations.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Support the preparation of tender pricing.
• Maintain estimating records and databases.
• Assist with tender reviews and commercial comparisons.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams as required.
• Support the Estimating team with general project and tender activities.

The Role

As an Estimation Graduate, you will join our Estimating team and develop an understanding of the commercial and technical processes involved in preparing tenders for major M&E projects.

Working closely with experienced Estimators, Engineers and project teams, you will gain exposure to drawings, specifications, quantities, supplier quotations and tender submissions.

• Construction or engineering experience is advantageous.
