Job summary

Frey Consulting Group seeks an Estimation Manager to lead the pre-construction team for HVAC/building services projects across Leinster. You will manage Estimators and CAD Engineers, oversee tendering and costing, and guide the team from early design through submission.

The role emphasizes leadership, planning and coordination, mentoring staff, and aligning submissions with strategic goals to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Estimators, CAD Engineers or Pre-Construction teams.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services projects.
• Experience overseeing tendering and estimation activities.
• Leadership with coaching and staff development.
• Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Estimators and CAD Engineers.
• Allocate resources and manage workloads across tenders and projects.
• Review tender documentation, drawings and project specifications.
• Oversee estimating, costing and proposal preparation.
• Ensure technical and commercial accuracy across submissions.
• Support pricing strategy and tender competitiveness.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Drive continuous improvement within estimating and design functions.
• Coach and mentor team members; support recruitment and growth.
• Collaborate with senior management on project selection and strategy.
• Oversee handover of projects to delivery teams.
