Job summary

BMS Performance Ireland in Dublin seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead and develop a team of Estimators and CAD Engineers within its growing HVAC and building services division. The role focuses on leadership, planning and pre-construction activities, ensuring tenders are delivered accurately and on time.

You will oversee resources, mentor staff and work with senior leadership to drive business growth and operational efficiency, with a strong emphasis on commercial success and team development.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC/building services projects and pre-construction activities.
• Leadership of Estimating/CAD teams and tender delivery.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to coordinate multiple tenders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Estimators and CAD Engineers.
• Allocate resources and manage workloads across tenders and projects.
• Review tender documentation, drawings and project specifications.
• Oversee estimating, costing and proposal preparation activities.
• Ensure technical and commercial accuracy across submissions.
• Support pricing strategy and tender competitiveness.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members.
• Collaborate with senior management on project selection and strategy.
• Oversee handover of projects to delivery teams.
