Metlen Energy & Metals Plc is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Power Technologies team at the North Wall Power Plant in Dublin, Ireland. You will ensure environmental compliance and support sustainable operation of a thermal power facility, working with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and regulators to meet permits and standards.

You will drive continuous improvement in environmental performance, coordinate monitoring programs, and support EMS maintenance aligned with ISO 14001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Familiar with EPA submission and EPA online platform.
• Experience in environmental compliance within power generation, industrial facilities, energy, utilities, or heavy industry environments.
• Good understanding of environmental legislation and permitting requirements in Ireland and/or the European Union.
• Experience with environmental monitoring, reporting, auditing, and compliance management.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Monitor and manage environmental aspects related to plant operations (air emissions, water discharge, waste, noise, resource use).
• Support preparation and submission of environmental reports to regulators and stakeholders.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring programs and analyze performance data.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and compliance assessments across the plant.
• Investigate incidents, non-conformances, and complaints; support corrective actions.
